Gaining Ground in Australia

Introduction

QinetiQ Australia attended a Land Forces conference in 2014, the premier land defence exhibition and forum in Australia, Asia and the Indo-Pacific region. They showcased a range of capabilities and land-related solutions to the delegates, such as acquisition advice, sustainment support, specialist engineering, and products (AWARD^® Evaluation Solution, Bushman^® global asset tracking system, Alerter of Approaching Rocket Munitions, Family of Advanced Cost Estimating Tools, Modular Electronic Warfare System and Persistent Wide Area Surveillance).

In addition to the design and layout of the brochure, I was responsible for sourcing original imagery for it and the other items related to the event. I organised two photo shoots in Victoria and Queensland, which involved sourcing talent, researching shoot locations, choosing the right photographers and writing a plan before making final decisions. The Spot UV used on the outer cover mimics the soldier's uniform material and gives it a more authentic look and feel.
